What is the Anguilla House of Assembly?

The House of Assembly is Anguilla's unicameral legislature, established in 1976 and located in The Valley, Anguilla. It is the heart of the island's parliamentary democracy, where elected representatives debate issues, pass laws, and hold the Government to account on behalf of the people.

How many members serve in the House of Assembly?

There are 14 members: 11 elected representatives (7 District Representatives and 4 Island-wide Representatives), 2 ex officio members (the Attorney General and the Deputy Governor), and the Speaker.

Can I attend or watch House sittings?

Yes. Sittings are open to the public, and you can also watch proceedings live or view past sessions on the House of Assembly YouTube channel.
